My husband, Steve, and I have sponsored countless family and friends who have gone on mission trips of all types. I have NEVER had a desire to go myself and was always grateful someone else was willing to go so that I didn't have to.
Guess what? I am going to Tanzania with Strong Harvest International in November! I'm baffled at how this came about. Having experienced my own health issues over the last few years, leading a less busy life now that my children are grown, desiring to do something kind and caring for others, the lure of an adventure, etc... these are all reasons I can point to which have contributed to my change of heart. Ultimately I know it was God working in me. He does that.
I strongly desire to see others take health into their own hands by using natural methods. I believe the Moringa Tree is God's answer to malnutrition in places where it naturally grows. Strong Harvest International empowers people to improve their health, improve their income, and improve the cleanliness of their water through use of the Moringa tree ... the most nutritious plant known to man. I get to be a part of training people in their own country how to train others in their own country who will train others (and so on) all about the Moringa plant and how to use it.
Are you able to help me with some financing and some prayer for this trip/training I will be assisting with during the first couple weeks in November?
Any donation you send in to Strong Harvest International is tax deductible and it is my desire that it be split with 1/2 going toward my team fees and 1/2 given to Strong Harvest International for furtherance of their work. Any funds raised beyond my needs will go towards Strong Harvest's work in Tanzania.
I am passionate about this organization and what they are doing! It's amazing the stories of health changes that are heard over and over again as impoverished and malnourished people began to use the Moringa tree and see their health dramatically improve.
