Through Strong Harvest training, we can empower families in Tanzania to provide for themselves the basics of life.

I'm excited to share some good news!

As you might know, I have been a passionate supporter of Strong Harvest International (SHI) since its inception 5 years ago. SHI works in the developing world to provide good nutrition, clean water, and improved family income through the cultivation and use of the multi-faceted moringa tree (see more about this incredible tree below).

The good news I want to share is that this fall SHI is taking a team of peer educators to Tanzania, Africa and I have been trained and invited to join the team for this work. Tanzania is one of the world's poorest economies which means that families are in deep need of the basics of life: good nutrition, clean water, and better economic opportunity—exactly what the moringa tree provides.

Our team will be in Tanzania November 1-16 and while there, we will conduct training seminars in the town of Arusha and also do follow-up workshops in various locations for others who were previously trained in order to see their progress and hear their stories. The way SHI works is to train people not only to use moringa for themselves and their families but then they go on to also teach others to grow and use Moringa. I can't wait to meet/train these people and then watch the ripple effect!
